Remember when Margot Robbie pitched the Barbie movie and said it could make a billion dollars? Well, turns out she wasn’t exaggerating. In terms of box office numbers, Barbie earned $53 million domestically, bringing its total in the US to $459.4 million. Internationally, it made an additional $72 million, pushing its global earnings to $1.03 billion, according to Comscore. The Jason Statham-led sequel, Oppenheimer, came in second domestically, earning $30 million. Internationally, it brought in $81.5 million, adding up to a global total of $552.9 million. Directed by Christopher Nolan, this film holds the distinction of being his fifth highest-grossing film and the biggest World War II movie to date.
